Good things always happen. This was a sentence that I have heard much time from many people. I was always wondering to hear about this particular sentence. I thought I give people as much as I can, then why they are still not kind to me. Kind enough to speak. I was floating in this situation for a long time but then suddenly I came to know about a place, about an institute, about people, about fellows, and about the teachers, who have been known as Amal Family.

Yes, you heard this right I’m talking about the Amal Creer Prep Fellowship. The platform that I had heard only. But a time came when I meet with this amazing professional growth fellowship.

Ayesha before fellowship:

I’m Ayesha. I was shying actually afraid and scared of my childhood. There were multiple reasons behind this. Some of them I’ll mention here.

· I belong to a conservative family, where there is a ban for girls to any independent activity. Independent activity includes rights to education, rights to seeing the beauty if this world, and nature.

· So, women had no right in my family.

· But, after my birth, my father started a wish to educate me. Here, there was the start of a new beginning.

· And my journey for education were started. But of course, there were critics, there were heartbreaks, there were restrictions, there were limits, there were assigned boundaries to walk within.

· But I didn’t lose hope and tried to continue. There was also some supports around me. That realized me how blessed I was.

· Academically, I was a good student. But, when there was time to talk about the skills I lacked for them.

· I was weak enough to cry even on simple harsh words, low self-esteem, low level of confidence, and had no confidence in myself. I was the one who knew all the answer but still can’t speak because was afraid of talking, was afraid of being a judge.

Ayesha After fellowship:

You won’t believe me, who I’m now. I’m a more stable person from inside and out. I’m now confident enough to speak from a crowd now. I have faith in myself. I’m confident. I know its hard to believe that I have changed even within 3 months, but this is true because I’m changed. This is what I’m here to tell you about.

I’m going to university daily and people around me are astonished to see me what has had happened to me. How could I change like that? Most importantly my presentations are going great. I was always afraid of talking by standing on dice. But in the last two days, I have present two presentations and got a higher percentage.

Role of Amal fellowship in my life:

Amal has played a wonderful role in my life. It has impacted me in a positive aspect. As I have mentioned about myself who I was before joining Amal and how I’m now. This is all because of AMAL. Before joining Aaml I literally didn’t know about the importance of skills, confidence, self-grooming, humility, gratitude, and kindness. I was only aware of the manes but didn’t know about their meaning, their importance. But now because of AMAL, I know them very well.

What was the instance that had the most impact on me?

There were many things that impacted me. But here I will describe the one who has won my heart. These were tasked assigned to us to do. This was related to GRATITUDE. Gratitude is actually a way to tell people that they are important.

I have written gratitude letters to the persons who have done favors on the name, who has helped me. I have also the right email to my interviewer. This was an excellent experience because we don’t know about each other but still, I’m saying Thank You to him that He is important and He is doing a great job. This is Amal fellowship who has taught me to show gratitude.

There is another thing that has impacted me was fundraising for the Edhi foundation. This was an important initiative taken by Amal academy. There we have made fund rising collective in a team. There we have faced many challenges but still, we stand out to collect funds.

What about this incident made you think about yourself and the way you see things around you?

This has helped me to understand my potential strengths and weakness. I was already awarded my weakness but I got to know my strengths. I would love to elaborate on this with an example. I had not worked in a team before, but during fundraising, I worked in a team. After working, I got realized the importance of leadership, and teamwork. This was a great experience. I’m now able to see things in a clear way because sometimes I’m not able to see things clearly but now I can.

How much of this realization was the result of the way the other people/person around you acted and exhibited their energy?

I’m the leader of my group for team working. We have worked together. After our first impression, we were not so enthusiastic about our teamwork but after time passing we found ourselves in a place where we have found some similarities between our visions and thoughts. So we decided to work on the team and here our energies get to meet. We have still exhibited these energies.

Looking back, how do you think you would do things differently?

Yes, this question has changed my perception and views completely. As I’m looking back I would love to go back to those years where I was not able to speak. I could do more. I could do things better but I wasn’t. I could bo more.

Now here, I’m going to promise myself that I would do my best to give all my strengths and powers to every part of my work. I would speak louder even louder that people can hear my dim voice. People can know me. People can know about the girl who was in fear of speak.

EndNote:

At the end note, I would love to say thank you to Amal Academy for giving me an opportunity to like this. I’m thankful to my facilitators Mam Namra and Sir Ghazi, who are excellent. These both cute humans have put me out from the darkness to a light of shine. They are people who have never judged me on my weaknesses. They help me and support me to do more. They pushed me to do more. Thank you so much Sir and Mam for this kind act of yours.

I want to say thank you to my whole Amal family, my fellows who have helped me all the time. My whole team, thank you guys for being here with me.

I appreciate the Amal principles and Values because these have helped a lot to understand myself. I’m greatly thankful to Allah for providing me such an opportunity to know about myself and my strengths.
